Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Eisenhower Inn & Conference Center, Gettysburg, PA 17325, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a commercial item procurement for the purchase of an all inclusive meeting package for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD Annual Board of Scientific Review Conference to be held November 5 -- 7, 2001. Package must accommodate approx. 280 participants and include meeting room, two (2) break-out rooms, meals, overnight accommodations, video conference capabilities and other misc. conference support services. The justification for this determination is based upon previous market research to locate a facility large enough and within driving distance of NIH to accommodate this size function. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 14 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 14 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with the Eisenhower Inn & Conference Center. The NAICS Code/Size is 721110/$5.0M. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
