Description

The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Indian Education Programs, has a requirement for a Food Service Program to provide services to one (1) school located on the Fort Apache Reservation; three (3) schools located on the Hopi Indian Reservation, and four (4) schools located on the Tohonon O'odhan Nation. All schools are located in the state of Arizona. The contractor shall provide services for a quality nutrition program, staff training, and distribution of food products/supplies. The contractor shall also provide services of a registered Dietitian for menu development, special services including menu preparation operation, ordering procedures, inventory control, food services personnel training, and make available all food items for special needs (i.e. home economics instructional program, special meals, ect.) and other special services requested by the local school board and/or principal at no extra cost to the local school. Contractor shall develop six-week cycle menus, which reflect student interest, cultural preference special occasions, banquets, etc. Meals shall meet the requirements of the USDA Meal Reimbursement Program. The contractor shall maintain all delivery vehicles and warehouse facilities to meet environmental and safety standard requirement and provide certification of regular sanitary and environmental inspection. Anticipated period of performance shall be from date of award through June 30, 2002 with four (4) additional one-year option years. This is an unrestricted solicitation.
