Description

The USDA Forest Service, Southern Regional Office is soliciting proposals for Architect and Engineering services. Thi s will be a basic ordering agreement to secure individual orders for professional architectural and engineering services. T his agreement will be used to supplement in-house skills available within the USDA Forest Service, Southern Region, Engineer ing Unit as needed throughout the year. Examples of the variety of architectural and engineering activites commonly undertak en by the unit include the following: 1)Design of all or portions of a wide variety of Forest Service facilities, including offices, warehouses, visitor centers, research labs, campgrounds and picnic areas, nurseries and greenhouses, classrooms, ki tchens, vocation education buildings, residences, dormitories, carpenter shops and welding shops, flammable storage building s, gymnasiums and site utilities. 2) Review of designs produced by other in-house units, volunteers, cooperators and partner s. 3) Assistance during Construction, including construction inspection and review of shopdrawings and/or equipment submitta ls.
