- Description
- Design/Build Request for Proposal (RFP) for design and construction of a rectangular aircraft parking apron for C-5 and C-17 aircraft. The five existing concrete keyholes will be replaced with a PCC apron 368 millimeters thick by 590 meters by 110 meters. An option will be proposed and bid to increase the length of the apron to 720 meters. A new storm drainage system and associated apron lighting and ductbank; pavement marking and mooring/grounding points are included. A phasing plan will be required and is critical in keeping a portion of the keyholes and taxiway open. Construction is limited to nine months. Proposals received from this solicitation will be evaluated for best value (not necessarily low price) to the Government in accordance with the fo llowing criteria listed in descending order of importance: Administrative information (incorporates similar past experience, personnel, quality control and safety), Past Performance Record (incorporates quality results), Price Proposal, Technical Approach, and Subcontracting Plan. This project is available on compact disk only. There will be no charge for this solicitation. Project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Read er. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are: 486-based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or gre ater, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space, and compact disk drive.
