Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201, intends to sole source to Simplex Company, 36141 Schoolcraft Industrial Road, Livonia, MI 48150, 734-432-3400. This proposed contract action is for the upgrade of the current Simplex Fire Alarm System, which the governmnet intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses maybe reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service internet address: http://www.gover/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the governmnet not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submited no later than Novermber 10, 2001, 4:00p.m. local time, to the contracting officer indicated above. Se numbered Note 22.
