Description

This announcement replaces the announcement issued 10/19/01 for Solicitation 52ABNW200020. This announcement corrects the location of the vessel inspection to be Honolulu, Hawaii, and not San Diego, California. Drydock and Repairs to the NO AA Ship KA'IMIMOANA. Vessel characteristics : length 224 ft; draft 15 ft; hull -- welded steel/ice strengthened; displacemen t 2,301 tons; gross tonnage -- 2,014; net tonnage 604. Additional characteristics can be found at http://www.moc.noaa.gov/ka/ general.htm Work will include, but not be limited to: drydocking and undocking, underwater body preservation, hull preserva tion, main propulsion generator engine overhaul, engine room bilge preservation, repair HIAB 450 crane, repair HIAB 120 cran e, and buoy deck modifications. Anticipated period of performance January 7-February 15, 2002. Vessel available for inspec tion in Honolulu, Hawaii December 3-5, 2001.
