Description

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Joint Task Force for Computer Network Operations (JTF-CNO) are jointly seeking vendors to demonstrate and present technologies or techniques that defend against increasingly prevalent Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attacks. These technologies or techniques may have been developed via public or private sponsorship and funding. These demonstrations and presentations will be part of a tentatively scheduled DDOS Technology Conference, which is planned for December 18 and 19 in the Arlington, VA area, and will be announced separately after vendors have been identified. It is expected that presentations will last 30-45 minutes as part of a conference format and that demonstrations will be provided in a science-fair type of environment. Those vendors who would like the opportunity to present their DDOS technologies or techniques to an audience of Government and military personnel should register their desire by 1600 EST, Friday, November 16, 2001 at the following URL: http://schafercorp-ballston.com/ddos1/index.html. Prospective vendors should note that a) vendor participation in this Conference will be entirely at the expense of the vendor, and b) in the instance of technologies or techniques that have been developed via sponsorship and funding, public or private, independent of the vendor, it is the responsibility of the vendor to certify to DARPA in advance of the Conference that the vendor's presentation or demonstration has been approved by the sponsoring and funding agency.
