Description

The VAMC in Miami is contemplating a base year plus four one year Options, procurement for Biomedical Waste or Regulated Medical Waste as well as non-regulated waste. This is a consolidated procurement in support of various VA facilities located in the southern half of the State of Florida. The magnitude of this procurement is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. NAICS 562211, Size standard $10.0 million. This procurement is unrestricted. The resulting contract is intended to be a single award to the firm who could provide all the services.=20 However, multiple awards may be considered if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The services provided under this procurement shall comply with all the EPA Regulations for Hazardous Waste Disposal, the State of Florida and Local County Environmental Laws. Interested firms who possess the capability to pick up, transport, dispose and provide a certificate of distruction of this kind of material are encouraged to participate in this procurement.=20 The solicitation will be available on or about 11/15/01.
