Description

This project is for the design and construction of the Add/Alter Special Operations Intelligence Facility at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Project consists of the addition of a third floor (approx. 12,600 SF) to an existing two story building and the addition of a small one story UPS room (approx. 700 SF). The existing building is a highly secure facility which must remain in operation during the length of the contract. The project includes cast-in-place concrete walls and roof slab, EIFS exterior treatment, built-up roofing, electronic security systems, sound attenuation walls and partitions, physical security features, extensive interior communications systems, diesel generator and transfer switch, raised floor system, computer rooms, supporting e lectrical and mechanical systems and other utilities. The project has two options: Option #1 -- Furniture and Option #2 -- Uninterruptible Power System. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal. NAICS Code is 233320 and the size standard is $27,500,000.0 0. Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria: Price, Construction Experience, Design Experience, Individual Experience, Construction Past Performance, Design Past Performance, Schedule, and Organization. Estimated cost of construction is $1 ,000,000 -- $5,000,000. Time for completion is 365 days. THIS PROJECT IS SET ASIDE FOR THE SMALL BUSINESS HUB ZONE PROGRAM. Offers will be accepted only from those firms registered in the SBA Hub Zone program. Solicitation DACA27-02-R-0002 will be issued a pproximately 9 November 2001 and receipt of proposals will be approximately 13 December 2001 at 4:30 (local time). Because of security reasons there will be only one site visit for this project. This will be the only opportunity to see the existing facil ity and existing furniture. Date and time will be announced on the Louisville District website. This project is available on compact disk and the Internet.
