Description

Presolicitation Notice: The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Detention Center (FDC), located in Brooklyn, New York requires exterior facade renovations. The work consist of the following: Removal of existing steel sash windows painted with lead paint; removal of existing concrete windows sills and selected areas of brick exterior walls; Restoration and repair of existing exposed exterior reinforced concrete columns and floor spandrel beams; Restoration and repair of existing concrete cornices; New sections of precast GFRC cornices and column covers; New concrete window sills, areas of brick veneer cavity walls and new aluminum framed windows; Cleaning, patching, preparing, and painting of exterior concrete and selected areas of existing brick with new cementitious waterproof coating. The Contractor will be required to provide all materials, labor, equipment and expertise necessary to complete the project. The performance period will be 548 calendar days. The solicitation will be available on or after November 31, 2001, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this manner is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
