Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotations #2QR4-003-02. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. Set aside for small business -- NAICS: 488190. Size standard is $5.0 Million. The project consists of painting of U.S. Forest Service Aircraft King Air B200C. Contractor facilities must be in the western United States (Mountain or Pacific time zones). The painting will be performed at the contractor's facilities, consist of stripping, inspection, corrosion treatment, priming and painting the exterior surfaces. All work must be completed in accordance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer's recommendations that apply. The contractor shall be FAA certified repair station or employ at least one FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanic. Contract time estimated to start 11/12/01 with three weeks contract time for completion.
