Description
Questions and answers are provided as follows: Q: Clarification on whether the roll up door is manual or electric. The statement of work specified a b hile the dimensions and spacing of the doors on the drawing released with amendment 01 are correct, the indication that the roll up door is electrical was incorrect. The door must be manual. The current required to operate the crane can be either: a. 50 h ertz, two phase, 220V to 230V or b. 50 hertz, three phase, 380V to 400V. Q: If the manufacturer is an American company that has plants in the United States as well as overseas, would the building be acceptable if manufactured overseas under the supervision of the American manufacturer, at one of this manufacturerb split fabrication, that is, the building components manufactured at two or more US plants, or overseas plants, even if the components have to be picked up by your freight forwarders at more than one location? A: The contractor is responsible for fabricatio n. However, the US freight forwarder will only pick up from one US location. Q: Does the crane have to be galvanized? A: Yes. In accordance with the statement of objectives (SOO) the crane must meet class b o be galvanized and painted. Q: Does the runway of the crane have to span the entire 200 feet of the building? A: Yes Q: What color if any do the walls and the roof have to be? A: Polar white (or white) Q: We were surprised by the answer to the Item 18 question about b t be constrained by the building. Therefore, we are used to interpreting that inside clear dimensions refer to the worst obstructions. The building columns will infringe more into the interior space than the wall panels. Please review the answer given to this question since the columns will be two feet, or more, inside the wall panels and could significantly reduce the b by 200' long. No part of the building structure, including the building columns, can infringe on this space.
