Description
Bullet trap, to include delivery, installation and all fitting. Bullet trap shall safely stop and contain all projectiles up to 12,500 square foot pounds of muzzle energy. Trap must be able to stop and contain projectiles of the following military caliber: 5.56mm, 7.62mm, .30-06 cal. and .50 cal, fired in full automatic mode. The bullet trap opening will accommodate the existing shooting tube and impact chamber of the 100 meter firing range located aboard the Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA and must fit within the impact area (approximately 15 x 20 ) without altering the structure. The trap shall be equipped with an integrated, remotely controlled, scrolling paper target system. The trap shall be environmentally safe, must capture all projectiles and airborne lead particles, if produced. The trap shall be capable of handling a heavy volume of fire while maintaining its structural integrity, require minimal maintenance, and allow projectiles to be easily extracted for disposal. Impact area and materials must be 100% non-combustible (no exception). Contractors must perform a site visit prior to submitting quotes to this office. The following FAR Clauses/Provisions apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items. 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, (a) the Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Best value to th e government includes, however is not limited to, safety and durability, maintenance requirements of the system, ease of operation, and price] 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items. 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items (incorporating 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans, 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers, and 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial service, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. Offerors responding to this announce ment must provide the information contained in 52.212-3, Evaluation Commercial Items with their offer. The offeror should also provide its Commercial and Government Entity (Cage) code, Contractor Establishment code (DUNS number) and Tax Identification Number.
