Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to solicit and award a sole source purchase order utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Verizon Wireless, 2059 Chain Bridge Road, Vienna, VA 22182. This requirement is for renewal of monthly wireless services previously provided by Verizon Wireless, and purchase new/replacement phone and accessories as required. The basis for this proposed non-competitive action is that there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements of the agency. The Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed price purchase order. The estimated award date of this purchase order is November 9, 2001. The required period of performance is from the effective date of purchase order award (FOB Destination: Springfield, VA) through 1 year. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no competitive solicitation will be issued. All information received by the Government by November 9, 2001, will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date of the contract is on or around November 9, 2001.
