Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis with Engineered Air Systems, Inc, (EASI), 1270 N. Price Road, St. Louis Mo. 63132. This urgent effort is to retrofit up to 70 units of Chemical Biological Protective Shelter Systems (CBPSS) to incorporate changes that were made to the s ystem. The length of the effort is approximately 6 months. The effort will also include testing of the retrofitted CBPSSs and update of the Technical Data. EASI is the current manufacturer of the system and has unique and extensive knowledge of the system, has unique tooling and test equipment for the system, and provides a warranty to the system that would become null and void if retrofit is performed by another party. This is not a Request For Proposals, and no solicitation document exists.
