Description

This is a synopsis for commercial services, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the Request for Quotation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00600-01-Q-0335 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97 -27.The NAICS Code is 334220. The Government anticipates to award a firm-fixed-price contract, base year with four one year options. The Request for Quotation package will be issued on or about November 13 with quotes due within 22 calendar days. Please fax your request for a copy of the Request for Quotation to the attention of Customer Service (202) 433-9569. This procurement is unrestricted, full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the Government. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk Detachment Washington has a requirement to procure commercial satellite services for The United States Naval Observatory, Washington DC, for satellite services: KU-BAND, Full-time 24 hours/7 Days a week, 3MHZ Bandwidth, Full Conus coverage (48 States), Quote both protected: Non protected services. Optional Requirement: Coverage of Anchorage, Alaska and Oahu, Hawaii. Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington and intends to solicit quotes and award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of Title 38 USC Section 8153, pending availability of funds. The Government will award a contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The specific services are described in the Statement of Work included in the Request for Quotation. Please include your full company name , point of contact, phone/fax numbers, business size, cage code, DUNS number and Federal Tax ID number, and if CCR registered. NOTE: ALL VENDORS AND PROSPECTIVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE DoD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE TO RECEIVE AWARDS AFTER MAY 31, 1998.
