Description
The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a four year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for Fire Alarm Systems, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about November 8, 2001, via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.eps.gov. The RFQ number is DTCG80-02-Q-3FAP17. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the EPS system for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. This RFQ is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 334290, and the small business size standard is 750 employees. The acquisition is for Fire Alarm Systems to include installation, technical data, training, and tech representative services. These systems will be installed on various U.S. Coast Guard vessels. The minimum quantity is 1ea and the maximum quantity is 23ea. The Alarm Systems will be ordered by delivery order and delivered F.O.B. Destination to the vessels. The initial quantity shall be delivered within 45 days after contract award. Items shall be packed, packaged and marked in accordance with commercial standards. The OEM's best standard commercial warranty is requested and shall be identified in the bidder's quote. All interested small businesses may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Coast Guard. The government will award a firm fixed price contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose conformance to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. Quotes are due by November 26, 2001. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
