Description

This is a notice of intent from the Naval Air Systems Command to issue a sole source contract to Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) for the supplies and services necessary to retrofit approximately 185 Improved Tactical Air Launched Decoys (ITALDs) with the Global Positioning System (GPS) engineering change. In addition, Naval Air Systems Command will procure approximately 5 GPS ITALD training vehicles, approximately 16 Improved Decoy Tester Programmers (IDTPs), ancillary equipment, logistics support and associated data. IMI is the sole manufacturer of ITALDs, and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform these efforts. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
