Description
This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for a full and open competition. This solicitation will only be released and available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Accordingly, NO written, telephone, facsimile or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. The Government anticipates issuing a solicitation on or about 12/20/01 by posting it on the website www.fedbizopps.gov. Estimated proposal due date is on or about 01/25/02, with an estimated award date of 05/01/02. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it will be the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps.gov website for any solicitation amendments. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement for technical support services in support of the Long Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program. Under this effort, the contractor will provide all necessary facilities, equipment, services, supplies, materials, and personnel and shall perform all activities necessary to provide all necessary pavement, database and traffic engineering technical assistance to the FHWA LTPP program. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted at the FedBizOpps.gov website on or about 11/02/01. The FHWA encourages contractor input on this draft SOW. All feedback, to include comments, recommendations or concerns, shall be e-mailed to Amy Kruger, Contract Specialist, at amy.kruger@fhwa.dot.gov, no later than 11/26/01. The FHWA anticipates making one award as a result of this solicitation. The FHWA anticipates that the resulting contract will be a cost-plus-award-fee (CPAF) contract. The estimated period of performance is 5 years. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 541330, Engineering Services.=20
