Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando FL intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Aero Simulation, Inc. (ASI) in Tampa FL. The purpose of this procurement is to modify/SLEP twelve T-34C Flight Instrument Trainer Devices 2B37, 2B37A and 2B37Bs to a 2B37C configuration over a 3 year period. Trainers are currently located at three (3) separate locations: Whiting Field, FL, NAS Pensacola, FL and Corpus Christi, TX. The purpose of the modified trainers is to extend the life of these training devices and correct their flight characteristics. This contract will be for a one (1) year base period and two one (1) year option periods. It is expected that at the conclusion of this effort, the Navy will have acquired the necessary documentation needed to openly compete the acquisition of the modification of the remaining thirteen T-34C Flight Instrument Training Systems. No public solicitation will be issued. Notice is being synopsized to satisfy FAR Part 5 requirements.
