Description

This is a notice of intent to issue RFQ EASC 2001-30765, on a sole source basis under statutory authority 41 USC 253 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source, to Jonach Electronics, Inc., 622 Route 10, Whippany, NY 07981. Contractor shall provide technical system administration for the Passaic Flood Warning System in New Jersey. Contractor shall be responsible for proper system operation of all rain gages, computers, wireless local area networks, and other communications hardware used to convey rain gage data from sensors to county emergency management agencies, and state and Federal offices. All sites are in New Jersey and metropolitan New York. Contractor shall possess knowledge of (a) existing software and hardware configurations used in the Passaic Flood Warning System; (b) the Federal IFLOWS program; (c) commercial software used for flood warning systems; (d) wireless local area networks; (e) interfaces and data formats required to feed the NWS Advanced Weather Information Processing System (AWIPS). Contractor shall be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to perform tasks which the Government deems vital. The period of performance shall be 12/1/01 to 9/30/02. See Note 22.
