Description

The Government intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract with firm fixed unit prices for an estimated quantity of four (4) aerial manlifts. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be solicited on an unrestricted basis pursuant to FAR 6.101, Full and Open Competition. This acquisition will be in accordance with Far 13.5 Test Program, conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center- Norfolk intends to acquire CLIN 0001 rental of 60 foot telescoping boom manlifts, for an estimated quantity of four (4) each; and CLIN 0002 -- pick-up and delivery charges. The description of manlifts includes 60-Foot Telescoping Boom manlifts (weighing less than 27,000 LBS) with 360-degree continuous turntable rotation. Additional specifications are as follows: Maximum Height Stowed (9 FT), Maximum Length Stowed (27 FT 2 IN), Maximum Width (8 FT), Horizontal Reach Minimum (51FT 3 IN), Minimum Lift Capacity -- 500 LBS, Minimum Platform Rotation (160 Degrees), Minimum Turntable Rotation -- 360 Degrees, Minimum Fuel Tank Capacity -- 25 Gallons, and Minimum Hydraulic Tank Capacity -- 45 Gallons as required by the USS Resolute AFDM-10, Norfolk, VA. A delivery charge is authorized from contractor's shop to USS Resolute AFDM-10, Pier 24T, 1990 "A" Avenue, Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, VA 23511 and back to contractor's facility. Delivery F.O.B. destination. NAICS Code is 532490/SIC Code is 7359. The resulting contract will be for a base year plus two (2) one-year options periods. Proposed contract will include FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services and FAR 52.217-9 will be incorporated into the RFQ. All responsible sources may submit a RFQ, which shall be considered by the agency. All interested parties must submit their RFQ including past performance information and pricing data to the Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk by 4:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due. The anticipated issue/release date of the RFQ is 12 Nov 01. The closing date will be specified when issued. All interested parties are hereby notified that the RFQ and subsequent amendments to the RFQ will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No hard copies of the RFQ will be issued. Offerors are reminded that it is their responsibility to check the www.fedbizopps.gov site for any amendments that may be issued. By submitting a RFQ, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency.
