Solicitation Number SP0450-02-R-1009, YPG01296001039, NSN 6810-00-249-9354, Sulfuric Acid, Electrolyte, D.O.T. Class: 8, Shipping Name: Battery Fluid, Acid UN2796 Closures with Metallic Parts are prohibited. Unit Quantity is a 1 Gallon Bottle. Use of Alternate Test Methods (I.E. GC OR AA Test Methods) in Lieu of those cited in FED SPEC for conforming to Impurity Requirements cited in Paragraph 3.4 shall be reviewed and approved by the DSCR-JDT Chemist and Contracting Officer Prior to Contract Award. Representative Sample Sizes taken for Testing purposes shall be a maximum of 1 Liter each as stated in PARA 4.2.2.2. Product Testing shall be performed by an ASTM Listed Test Laboratory. Lot Definition is as stated in Paragraph 4.2.1. Packaging shall meet both DOT and IMO-IMDGC requirements for both Surface and Maritime shipments. Product labeling shall require LOT/BATCH Number, NSN, Contract Number, Date of Manufacture, Batch Size in addition to all Markings required by the FED SPEC and/or this Solicitation. Unrestricted, This is a Critical Application Item, Shelf Life 60 Months. Automated Best Value System (ABVS) applies. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Specifications are available. FOB Origin, Total Quantity is 20,076, Unit of Issue is Gallons, 60 Days ARO delivered to SRG. This Solicitation will issue on November 16, 2001 with a closing date of December 10, 2001.
