- Description
- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation and Jefferson County School District 509J are collaborating on a project to construct a new school facility pursuant to Oregon school construction standards for kindergarten through fifth grades, with capacity for approximately 600 students. The school will be built on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation at Warm Springs, Oregon, having an approximate size of 65,000 square feet including up to 24 classrooms. The school and its facilities will also serve as a community resource for events and gatherings. The authorized spending for this project is $8,000,000, which is being funded by the Tribes. The entities seek to select a reputable firm having school design, engineering and construction experience, to assist them throughout the project execution. PROPOSAL PROCEDURES: The deadline to submit proposals for RFP #P9787-V04-3516 is Thursday, December 13, 2001, at 3:00 p.m., Prevailing Local Time. No late proposals will be accepted. Proposal specifications and response forms are available only from Gail Stone or Linda DuPont, Jefferson County School District 509-J, 445 SE Buff Street, Madras, Oregon 97741-1595; Telephone number (541) 475-6192; Fax (541) 475-6856; E-mail: gstone@509j.net or ldupont@509j.net. Proposals must be made on the Architect & Engineer Service Proposal Response Form. Additional pages of explanation and/or displays may be attached to the response form. An original plus six (6) copies of the proposal must be submitted only to Elizabeth A. Chase, Purchasing Manager, The Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation, PO Box 1169 (mail only), 1123 Veterans Street (delivery only), Warm Springs, Oregon 97761. No electronically transmitted proposals will be considered. Proposers are advised that overnight courier services are not always timely in the Central Oregon area. A pre-proposal meeting, including a site visitation, will be held on November 14, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., Prevailing Local Time, in the conference room at the Warm Springs Family Resource Center located at 1144 Warm Springs Street, Warm Springs, Oregon. Proposals will be reviewed and rated by a Joint Selection Committee comprised of representatives from both entities. Once the evaluation is completed, the joint committee reserves the right to interview those deemed to be within the competitive range, on or about January 3, 2002. One firm will be recommended to the Tribal Council and School Board at their next scheduled meeting. The Tribes and School Board reserve the right to reject any and all proposals; to waive any informalities in the proposal process; and to accept the proposal which, in both entities judgment, best meets the needs of the Tribes and School District.
