Description

This notice cancels CBD Submission No. 510716 of October 16, 2001. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) intends to increase the effort on Nova System contract N00039-01-C-3103 via contract modification with Unisys Incorporated. The contractor will develop, prototype, and conduct proof of concept testing of the Nova Emergency Action Message (EAM) Hybrid Solution for SPAWAR PMW 166. The EAM Hybrid Solution integrates the Navy's Nova with the Defense Messaging System (DMS) and other military messaging systems. This effort involves the development and testing of software code to meet the EAM Software Change Proposals (SCP) requirements for the Nova that will then be incorporated into the most current Nova software release. In addition, the contractor will procure the necessary components to create a prototype hardware platform, port new EAM software to the prototype hardware platform, and conduct development testing of the new EAM software on both the prototype hardware and the current hardware platforms. Moreover, the contractor will be responsible for identifying any additional software and hardware upgrades required for proper EAM development. Finally, the contractor will be responsible for providing maintenance services for the Nova EAM Hybrid Solution in the same manner as it currently does under the existing contract. The period of performance for this modification will be for twelve months from the date of award, with an option for an additional twelve months. This request is considered to be sole source to Unisys Incorporated, therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement.
