Description

Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant (LAAAP) possesses the sophisticated equipment and infrastructure for forging and production of 155mm and 8 inch projectile bodies on the 'Y' line. The Operations Support Command desires to maintain the capability to produce large caliber projectile metal parts at this facility and operate portions of the 'Y' line in order to maintain critical skills and production viability. Sources must also be able to serve as a facility use contractor, which entails maintenance of the b alance of the facility and includes leasing portions which offset the Government's cost of retention. Sources having the ability of meeting the Operations Support Command's need to maintain the Louisiana AAP capability are requested to indicate said inter est to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Emmet Earl, at 'earle@osc.army.mil', or the Contracting Officer, Ms. Susan McKinnis, at 'mckinniss@osc.army.mil'.
