Description

The National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD intends to award a sole source procurement to Roche Diagnostics for Taq DNA Polymerase. The requirement is for the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC). DNA polymerase for HLA typing should be able to amplify genomic DNA at the size of 100bp to 1kb. It is required to be thermostable for PCR process. It is very important that the enzyme can work efficiently with NMRC's DNA extraction protocol -- using low purity DNA and wide-range of DNA amount. The PCR failure rate is required to be less than 0.5%. CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE IN ORDER TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE DEPT. OF DEFENSE.
