Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Combat Support Logistics Equipment Directorate (CSLE), is interested in receiving product information for an Infantry Radio/Headgear Set (IRHS) from interested sources having commercial offerings that meet the following requirements: (1) The IRHS shall fully integrate with the Lightweight Helmet. (2) The IRHS shall be fully interoperable with planned Tactical Hand Held Radio (THHR), PRC-148 and the currently fielded ICOM. (3) The IRHS shall be designed to minimize obstruction of surrounding or ambient sound to ear. (4) The IRHS shall be fully compatible with current Modular Lightweight Load Bearing Equipment (MOLLE), the utility cover and other soft covers, Night Vision Goggles and the Lightweight Helmet/Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops (PASGT). (5) The IRHS shall be capable of remote PTT capabilities to allow hands-free operation by the individual Marine while performing basic mission tasks. (6) The IRHS shall weigh no more than nine ounces. (7) The IRHS shall be compatible with the M40 series field protective mask and shall be capable of being used in an NBC environment. (8) The IRHS shall be saltwater/water resistant/proof and ruggedized for operation in various weather conditions and temperatures ranging from -40F to 145F. Parties having a product capable of meeting this requirement are requested to submit relevant information within 20 days after the date of this announcement. Relevant information includes descriptive literature, technical and cost data, and information regarding production capacity and origin. Materials submitted will not be returned. All information shall be considered confidential. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS OR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
