Description

SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE UPGRADE/REPAIR OF MODEL B1500 FURNACE 1. Remove Gould Modicon PLC, Honeywell DCP700 temperature controller, and Honeywell DPR1500 data recorder. 2. Install Honeywell UMC800 Controller and Operator Interface and PC-based SDA software for data storage and retrieval. 3. Remove Honeywell RA890 control and purple peeper IR sensor. 4. Install a dual igniter hydrogen burnoff control. 5. Retain the following items from the existing control cabinet and wire these items into the UMC800 controller: Granville-Phillips Vacuum gauge Controller Honeywell AV456 Overtemperature Limit PN500 Manual Switches Research Inc. Model 3629b SCR Power Controller 6. Provide the standard front control panel, power distribution panel and PLC mounting panel with the new items and all necessary wiring installed. 7. Provide a new PLC diagram and wiring schematics. 8. Provide a plate and spacer type Work Rack, constructed from molybdenum and rated at 1250 C including: a) Four shelves, each 10" in diameter and .125" thick, with spacing 4" apart on three, 6" apart on the fourth shelf b) Base Plate 10" in diameter and .250" thick. c) Top Plate 10" in diameter and .0625" thick d) Shields on the top and bottom to enhance temperature uniformity. e) Three allthread rods for support at the perimeter. f) 12 spacers, nine 4" and three 6" to be used with allthread for configuring the work rack for a variety of shelf arrangements.
