Description
Walter Reed Army Medical Center has a requirement for Combination Mailing and Sorting Postal Equipment to replace existing equipment that was contaminated by anthrax. This requirement is being issued by Gov.Works under the franchise authority of the Department of the Interior on behalf of Walter Reed in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The period of performance for this effort is one base year, with four option years. Based on critical need for immediate delivery, the Government intends to award on a sole source basis to Pitney Bowes for lease of this equipment in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities or submit proposals. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
