Description

The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source Delivery Order against Basic Orde ring Agreement (BOA) N00019-00-G-0288 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 Main St. Stratford, Ct. 06601 to provid e engineering and design services, analysis, qualification, test support and aircraft support for the MH-60R air vehicle. T his effort also includes the re-design of dynamic components based on the results of Pro-Rated Load Methodology and redesign studies. The redesign effort is expected to increase component life times resulting from corrosion resistance improvements , utilization of new materials and incorporation of enhanced manufacturing processes. SAC is the designer, developer and so le manufacture of the airframe for the MH-60R aircraft and is the only known source possessing the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to perform this effort.
