Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure retrofit kits, support equipment, support equipment spares, special tooling, technical directives and drawings, and improved high temperature clamps to provide support for Engineering Change Proposals (ECP's) against an Air Force Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) F34601-00-G-0006 with General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) Evendale, Ohio in support of ECP's generated by General Electric. GEAE is the sole designer, producer, and qualified developer of the J85-GE-21C -4A B aircraft engines. GEAE is the only contractor which possesses the experience, expertise, engineering data, manufacturing processes and equipment necessary to provide the services and supplies within the time frame required to meet the F-5 and T-2 operational deployment commitments and reduce the safety of flight risk. The supplies to be provided hereunder are for the support of the J85-GE-21C -4A B aircraft engine. Retrofit kits will be procured for ECP and any related services to resolve engineering problems caused when in-flight shutdown and restart is necessary with the J85-GE-21C -4A B engines for the F-5 and T-2 Aircraft. Equipment associated with the retrofit kits will also be procured.
