JIM MCNEILL/LIDIB/[405]739-4408 Services, Non-Personal, Repair: The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the repair, test, packing and packaging and return to the government in accordance with the work specifications contained in the contract, the line items of Air Force equipment listed below. A firm fixed price/fixed quantity type contract is contemplated. The items and estimated quantities are as follows: CLIN 0001: NSN: 6610-01-242-0609, P/N: EA308-1, Noun: Position Indicator, Application: KC-135 Aircraft, Qty: 10 each. CLIN 0002: NSN: 6610-00-531-2759, P/N: EA308-10, Noun: Position Indicator, Application: KC-135 Aircraft, Qty: 48 each. CLIN 0003: Over and Above Work, as required. This solicitation is to obtain a fixed price/fixed quantity type repair contract with 100% contractor furnished material. The approximate issue date will be 30 Nov 2001. Deliveries are to be at a rate as follows: CLIN 0001: 2 each per month, 30 Days ARO and reps. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed proposals received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered, however see qualification requirements below. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation (See solicitation provision 52.209-1). Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
