Description

The work includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to remove all brick, asbestos and associated material from inside the chimney stack located at the VA Medical Center, 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL 33125. This will not only include brick and associated material that has collapsed, but also the portion that has remained intact so that when finished there will only be a concrete wall surface on the inside of the stack. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractors can obtain a copy of this solicitation, on or about 11/15/01 at the following URL http:/www.bos.oamm.va.gov. Contractors are advised that the are responsible of obtaining amendments to the solicitation, which will also be posted on the URL site. A bidders list will not be available as the Contracting Officer will not know who is downloading this RFP. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled on 12/4/01 at 10:00 AM.
