- Description
- Project consists of renovation of forty-six (46) architecturally identical units (23 duplexes) of family housing. Buildings are 1940's wood frame construction, clustered together in a close neighborhood situation. The work will be done in two phases: (1 ) Renovation of eleven existing partially renovated duplex structures presently tarped and protected (winterized), and (2) Renovation of remaining duplex structures which are intact. Renovation will include replacement of all interior finishes, appliances , carpeting, cabinets, hardware, electrical and HVAC systems,, and associated site utilities, landscaping and playground. Renovation will also include asbestos and lead base paint abatement. Optional work will include the addition of basements to all uni ts. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS), and will be available to download on or about 12 December 2001 at: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct. NO CD's OR HARD COPIES WILL BE AVAILABLE. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice. The website is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. When you register, please do so as a Prime, Sub or Plans Room. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 and the completion period is 255 calendar days. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code has been replaced by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code. The NAICS code for this project is 233220, which is matched to SIC Code 1522. Project is open to both large and small business. If you are a large business and your bid or proposal will exceed $1 million, you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned concerns. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $27.5 million. This will be a Request for Proposal, and a fixed-price contract will be negotiated as a result of this procurement.
