Description

This announcement constitutes the fulfillment of Public Law 2319 and is the periodic announcement of a Qualification Requirement, which is available for the manufacture of the Engine Control Rack, Part Number 16VP109-4, NSN 1680-01-216-0564WF. The Engine Control Rack Assembly (ECRA) is a mechanical actuator device composed of a rack and pinion gear set, universal shaft and tube assembly, two universal joints, and a power lever assembly coupling. The ERCA, used to control throttle opening, is bolted to a mounting plate on the F-16 aircraft and connects directly to the main propulsion engine fuel control power lever assembly shaft by a shaft and tube incorporating a slip joint and two universal joints. The ECRA is connected to and actuated by the throttle control cable 16VP108. The ECRA is designed for smooth operating through the full range of travel. The approximate dimensions are 28.1 inch length, 5.50 height, 11.50 width, 5.0 pounds. Although the F-16 Logistics Operation Division does not have an immediate requirement, this notification is for market research purposes to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully complete this effort for Hill AFB and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid.
