Description

The Government intends to award this contract on a sole source basis to Wright Malta Corporation, Malta Test Station, Plains Road, Ballston Spa, NY. This requirement is for conducting test firing of prototype large caliber cannon and other developmental weapons systems. The contractor will furnish all facilities, equipment, labor and materials (except equipment and materials the Government may elect to furnish) and incidental services necessary to carry out instrumented test programs. The facilities required must be capable to handle cylinders 24 inches in diameter and breach rings 30 inches on a cubical side, structural steel, stainless steel and aluminum in lengths up to 20 feet and thickness up to 4 inches. They must possess indoor cannon storage and assembly areas and explosive buildings for test firing and storage of large quantities of ammunition or explosives. Note 22 and 26 apply. instrumented test programs.
