Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with AT&T Federal Systems under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available with AT&T Federal Systems, Washington, D.C. for continuity of monthly Washington Area Warning Systems Service and Equipment and Commercial Long Distance Communication 1 Measured Business (MB) services. The Washington Area Warning Systems Service is coordinated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and provided only by AT&T Federal Systems. The service includes coordination of activities with other jurisdictions and other federal agencies concerning any incidents affecting NIST safety and security. Commercial Long Distance Communication Services for 1 Measured Business (MB) circuits are required to allow continuity of existing AT&T services until the services are transitioned to FTS 2001 under an existing contract to conform with the Department of Commerce mandate. This notice of intent is not a request for competition; this is a sole source requirement. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available. =20
