Description

This Command contemplates negotiations with the designer of record -- Baker and Associates, Inc., 3601 Eisenhower Avenue, Suite 601, Alexandria, Virginia ? to complete the final design and provide post construction award services (PCAS). The project will provide: Daws Hill -- Additional submittal copies for distribution, convert existing specifications to CSI format, preparation of the kitchen cabinets layout, and bill of materials package so that the Activity can procure them through a separate contract. This is required so that the new cabinets are compatible with the existing layout provided by our design. West Ruislip -- Provide a 90% resubmittal for review, reformat the current design package to match the Daws Hill design package, provide additional submittal copies for distribution, and add a 90% onboard review meeting. Final designs will be prepared for both locations. The estimated start date is 15 December 2001 with completion 90 days after notice to proceed. The estimated fee is less than $175,000. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, all proposals received by 5 December 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For additional submission requirements see Note 24. The standard industrial classification code for this procurement is NAICS 541310 ($4,000,000). This notice may represent the only official notice to such a solicitation.
