Description

SYNOPSIS: The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment for removal of existing roofing system which consist of an EPDM membrane over insulation; over re-roof board; on metal decking. Removal of existing cants, base flashing, edge flashing, gutter and flashing at roof penetrations; and metal roofing. Install modified bitumen roofing system over new insulation on existing steel roof deck. Install new cants, edge flashing, coping gutter and flashing at roof penetrations, new metal roofing; and new lighting protecting system. The area of work in this project is approximately 35 squares 40 feet above grade and 65 squares 25 feet above grade, 100 squares 15 feet above grade. The work is located at U. S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Ceter, Mobile, Alabama. There is no charge for the bid package. All bid requests must be in writing. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone Small Business concerns. Offers received that are not from qualified HUBZone Small Business concerns shall not be considered and shall be rejected. HUBZone Small Business concerns that replied to the pre-solicitation notice publicized on 2 November 2001, need not respond again. All other interested HUBZone Small Business concerns should send a written or faxed request to 305-278-6696. Any small business concern stating that it is a certified HUBZone Small Business concern, shall be prepared to provide a copy of its HUBZone certificate issued by the SBA upon request. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 235610, with a three-year average annual receipts small business size standard of $11.5 million. Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonds are required. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The contract performance time is 90 calendar days.
