Description

Furnish all plant, labor, materials, and equipment; and perform all work in strict accordance with these specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the repairs to and reroofing of building 131 at the Anniston Army Depot. Work will i nclude but not limited to the following items: (a) Removal of all asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in the roofing. The locations of these items, which occur in the roofing materials, are identified on the contract drawings. (b) Complete tearoff of built-up (flat) and sloped (shingled) areas of roofing at the building. Complete removal of existing wood decking on mansards and installatin in tese areas of new 1/2 inch plywood sheathing. Replacement of the roofing will consist of an EPDM (fully adher ed over mechanically fastened isocyanurate insulation) roof system on the upper (flat) part of the roof, and new metal roofing on the sloped portions of the roof. (c) In conjunction with replacment of roof, new gutters downspouts, and flashing will also be installed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is: 23561 The size standard is $11.5 Million Estimated magnitude of the project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. One Job. Completion time is 180 days after notice to proceed. THIS PROJECT IS RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION ELIGIBLE 8(a) FIRMS WITHIN THE STATE OF ALABAMA. Estim ated Request for Quotation issue date is 13 DEC 01. This Solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102 (a)(7) and 14.205-1(c); therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
