Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is seeking potential sources for a 1.5-ton (18,000 BTU cooling capacity) air conditioner capable of providing complete environmental control to include cooling, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and filtering for various types of portable military shelters or vans. Product should be capable of continuous or intermittent operation in conditions of environmental extreme and rough terrain in all configurations. A three (3) phase, 208 volt, power requirement is desired to accommodate standard military field power supplies. Due to operation in extremely remote field environments, desirable product characteristics include a self-contained, ruggedized unit that has the ability to allow for military transport without crating and a desired weight of ?? 300 lbs. Firms possessing the capabilities to accomplish this requirement are invited to submit a statement of qualification, enclosing product literature, customer information, current Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) schedule information and price schedules/catalogs. The scope of this RFI may result in the procurement of a commercially available Environmental Control Unit. Proprietary information submitted in response to this synopsis will be protected when clearly identified as proprietary. Responses to this RFI should be received no later than December 17, 2001.
