Description

The Food and Drug Administration, Center for Foods Safety and Nutrition, CFSAN, has a sole source requirement for a Professional Services Contract for a Support Maintenance Team Learder for the operation and maintenance of the Gulf Coast Seafood Laboratory located on 7.2 acres of waterfront property at Dauphin Island, Alabama. This request for the contractor to furnish the necessary services and otherwise do all things necessary, or incident to, the performance of the work as describe as: direct all building operations for the renovationof the main laboratory and ensure that all federal guidelines are followed; monitor and inspect work of many contractors and trades people required; possess the specialized experience in managing the use and upkeep of facilities, monitoring maintenance staff, negotiating and monitoring building repairs and service contracts, monitor work in progress and assure all plans required; help coordinate work without any interruption to scientific staff; assure all safety procedures are utilized, and most important be available for immediate call-in reponse; be able to operate and maintain the facility infrastructure without attendance of other team members, possess specialized expertise to interact with scientists and to fabricate, modify and maintain high-tech scientific instruments. The proposed vendor that will be awarded this requirement is Clinton A. Collier, Dauphine Island, Al. As mentioned, this requirement is being awarded on a sole source basis.
