Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract for the rental of 1 each 125 ton (minimum) crawler crane with 130 foot boom, working off a spud barge with two each pushboats, with an additional 500 ton 110 foot x 30 foot x 8 foot deck barge; a crew of one foreman, one crane operator, on tug captain and two deck hands to assist NNSY personnel working in the Goosecreek, Charleston, SC area for a period of approximately 62 days tentatively scheduled to begin on or about January 15, 2002 for 10 hours per day. The crane shall have load certification; crane operator(s) shall have current certificate of completion of the Crane Safety Associates of America, Inc. Safety Course. Equipment and operators shall meet the applicable requirements of NAVFAC P307. ALL CERTIFICATIONS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH OFFERS. This requirement is being handled utilizing "SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES" AS SET FORTH IN FAR PART 13 AND AUTHORIZED IN FAR PART 13.5, TEST PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS. Response date for submission of quotations will be established in the solicitation. Request for solicitation packages will be accepted via mail or e-mail only.
