Description
Modification: This is a limited competition between MPC and Transicoil, cage code 82686. Since the Government does not have the data to provide to any other sources, only quotes from MPC and Transicoil will be accepted. Synopsis: This is a noncompetitive acquisition to MPC, cage code 19710, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. This acquisition is for the purchase of 10 each roll Actuator Assemblies, NSN 5985-01-318-3190AY, Part # U-307879, applicable to the LANTIRN Program. The required delivery schedule is 30 Apr 2002. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 15 days after the publication of this notice. The approximate response date will be 30 days following posting of this solicitation in the CBD. The Government does not have data rights, or manufacturing knowledge to permit acquisition from other sources. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
