Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation in which quotations are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. The closing date and time for receipt of quotations is: Wednesday, December 12, 2001, 4:00 p.m. local time, 2301 M Street, NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20037. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). RONCO Consulting Corporation is the implementer of the U.S. State Department Integrated Mine Action Support Project, Contract No. S-LMAQM-99-D-0144. The contract requires RONCO to provide technical and procurement assistance in the areas of demining training and procurement services. We currently have an on-going demining procurement service project in Ecuador for this contract. We are requesting quotations for Military Dormitory Furniture and Accessories for this project. The objective of this procurement is to purchase the following commercial items: Item No. 72 Eighty (80) Each Wall Lockers, Free Standing, Gray, Combination Locks, Size 60cm x 124cm Military Quality; Item No. 73 Two (2) Each Electric Shower Heaters, 5 Gallon Capacity Each, Propane/Butane Gas-fired System, Needed to Service 20 showers, Military Quality; Item No. 74 -- Eighty (80) Each Standard Size Single Bed, Steel Frame, Wood Headboard, Military Quality; Item No. 74a -- Eighty (80) Each Standard Size Single Mattresses, Military Quality; Item No. 74b -- Eighty (80) Each Pillows, Standard Size, White, Synthetic Fibers; Item No. 74c -- Eighty (80) Each Sheet Sets, Standard Size Single, Contour, Flat, Pillow Case, White, Military Quality; Item No. 74d -- One Hundred Sixty (160) Each Blankets, Olive Drab, Military Quality; Item No. 75 -- Four (4) Each Floor Mats, Synthetic Fiber, Rubber Backing, Gray, Size 2.4m x 3.85m; Item No. 76 -- One (1) Set, Aluminum Double Doors, Key Lock, Size 1.96m x 2.2m. NOTE: 1) All quotations must be submitted in English and in U.S. Dollars. Quotations must be based on CIF Quito, Ecuador, with shipping and insurance costs delineated separately from actual cost of commodities. E-MAIL AND/OR FAX QUOTATIONS ARE ACCEPTABLE. NOTE: 2) Suppliers wishing to participate in this procurement must notify RONCO via e-mail and/or fax with contact information advising of intention to participate in this procurement and to be placed on bidders list for future amendments and/or clarification answers to supplier questions. NOTE: 3) Questions/Clarifications concerning this procurement must be submitted in writing via fax or e-mail, prior to Wednesday, December 5, 2001@ 4:00 p.m. local time. TELEPHONE ENQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED; NOTE: 4) Desired Delivery Schedule w/in 30 Days of placing an order. NOTE: 5) All equipment proposed, must be new and unused. Suppliers must provide assembly, installation service of furniture and equipment, and after sales service/warranty in-country at no additional charge to the project. NOTE: 6) Literature and descriptive information on all items proposed is requested. RONCO is an authorized buyer from the Federal Supply Schedule and requests GSA pricing from authorized GSA suppliers. This solicitation document and following incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, para(a) is filled in as follows: Multiple awards may be awarded based on best value practices of the FAR. RONCO will award a contract(s) resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price, and other factors considered, based on best value.
