Description

Maintenance Dredging, Winter Harbor, Mathews County Virginia. The project consists of maintenance dredging the Winter Harbor Channel and Turning Basin by hydraulic pipeline method, The channel shall be dredged to a depth of 6 feet CELW with 1 foot of allowable overdepth. The contractor shall place the dredged material from the Outer Channel in the unconfined Government-furnished shoreline placement area, and the dredged material from the Inner Channel and Turning Basin in the Government-Furnished confined upland placement area. The work includes preparing the placement area, raising the dikes to the elevations and grades specified, installing a new spillbox, and disposal of the abandoned spillbox. Including estimated accretion to January 2002 and allowable overdepth, the project involves dredging approximately 168,000 cubic yards of material. Magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Duration of the project is 80 calendar days for performance. This is a SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. Applicable SIC code is 1629, with a size standard of $27.5 million. The NAICS code is 23499. The solicitation will be available on the internet only. No paper copies or CDs will be issued.
