Description

Under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 8153 Expanded Sharing Authority and in accordance with FAR, Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items the Louis Stokes Cleveland, Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio, intends to procure services for the chemical treatment of trees. The Contractor shall provide six (6) plant health care pesticide treatments on select Austrian, Scotch and White Pine Trees. The Contractor shall be certified by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, with a public operators license with category #6A for ornamental plant and shade tree pest control, and shall provide a copy of said certification to the Contracting Officer prior to beginning work. The first chemical application on all Austrian, Scotch and White Pine trees shall be for the treatment of Zimmerman pine moth and shall be preformed during the period of April 20, 2002 and May 10, 2002. The second chemical application on all Austrian and Scotch Pine trees shall be for the treatment of Diplodia Tip Blight. The Contractor shall provide three (3) applications at two (2) week intervals during the period of May 10, 2002 and June 20, 2002. The third chemical application on all Austrian, Scotch and White Pine trees shall be for the treatment of Borer. The Contractor shall provide two (2) applications at two (2) week intervals during the period of June 23, 2002 and July 10, 2002. This acquisition is 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System code is 561730 and the size standard is $5.0 million per annum. Solicitation will be available on or before November 23, 2001.
