Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) anticipates contracting for blendable borescope repair services for the F402 Pegasus engines for the AV-8B aircraft. The service shall include inspection of candidate engines, repair of the engines (including blending of up to 12 blades per engine) and documentation of the repair. The Contractor?s borescope system shall be capable of detecting cracks emanating from the blended region and must be capable of measuring and recording damage located within the engine. In order to perform the borescope services, the Contractor may be required to travel to or near the following Continental United States (CONUS) Sites: Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC, MCAS Yuma, AZ, Naval Weapons Center, China Lake, CA and Marine Corps Base Twenty-nine Palms, CA. Additionally, the Contractor may be required to travel to or near the following Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) sites: MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, Kadena AB, Japan, Kuwait City, Kuwait and Grottaglie, Italy. Note: The Contractor may be required to perform work on board Navy ships at or near the above OCONUS locations.
