Description

The National Park Service is developing a prospectus for commercial ferry service between Key West and Dry Tortugas National Park as discussed in the 2000 Final Dry Tortugas General Management Plan Amendment/Environmental Impact Statement (GMPA/EIS) which is available on the internet at www.nps.gov/planning. An initial meeting will be held on January 17, 2002 in Key Largo Florida. The purpose of the meeting is to obtain input from interested and experienced parties on the operational details for the prospectus. Topics covered will include but not be limited to vessel requirements, schedules, services offered, and operational strategies. The outcomes must comply with the planning framework approved in the GMPA/EIS but all input and ideas are welcome.
